Best Christmas shopping ever this year

This year, the industry and stores will be even more desperate for customers. And as they start making their orders for the Christmas shopping season, they will be more careful than last year - they probably still have unsold inventory, if they survive.
That inventory needs to go. The easiest way is to sell it cheap. And before Christmas, so the regular shopping season does not get screwed up.
Now, since there is a world-wide recession, nobody has any money to shop, right? Not so fast. Those of us who still have jobs (if unemployment is 10 %, that is 90 %, after all) will have saved enough to feel safe by Christmas. So we might be willing to buy something nice, because we have managed to survive the crisis. And it is cheap now.
