After getting yet another email saying that I had to ID myself, I sent them an email asking if they still thought I was an international criminal. It took a day for them to sort it out, then they opened the access to my account so I could withdraw the money to my Swedish bank account. Now I have to close the account in a few days, though.
I still have not found a good replacement, although I will continue looking. If I have to pay through the exchange rate, I might as well use my regular bank account. PayPal will not be convenient any more.
